Our lord in the Attic is a unique clandestine Catholic church built on top of a 17th century merchant house. This was a secret Christian church in Protestant times. the church has kept the furnishings from its origins, including typical dutch wooden furniture, table clocks, and two kitchens with delft blue tiles. The church was built by Jan Hartmann in the attic of his house and today attracts more than 80,000 visitors a year.

This canal is the oldest steam gate in Amsterdam. The Kolksluice has been in operation since the Middle Ages. In 1702 the castle of the Kolksluice was demolished and replaced with the current bridge. During high tide, the lock was closed to prevent flooding. When the tide is low, the lock is opened and the water flows back into the sea. The sluicing process keeps the water clean.

Amsterdam Central station is the main station of Amsterdam. The station was designed by the Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers who was famous for his design of the Rijksmuseum and opened in 1889. There are Gothic and Renaissance elements. 250,000 people pass through the station every day.

From this location Henry Hudson started his sailing trip to the USA, where he discovered what is now New York. He called this settlement New Amsterdam. Weeper's tower is known as a drop-off spot. A place where women wept for their husbands who sailed into the war from this tower. Although this story has been described by many as a myth, there is evidence that it is a fact. There is a memorial stone in the tower dating back to 1566, which commemorates a woman who was broken so hard that she went mad.

The shipping house was originally the headquarters of the six major shipping functions. The Netherlands Steamship Company (SMN), the Royal Packet Navigation Company (KPM), the Java-China-Japan Line (JCJL) and the Royal Dutch Steamboat Company (KNSM) with New Rhine Navigation Company (NRM) and Royal West India Mail Service (KWIM). The shipping house is currently serving as a 5 star hotel. Many of the company's features are worth mentioning, such as the elaborate central staircase and the boardroom on the floors at the corner of the Prins Hendrikkade.

This tower was built in 1516 as part of the defenses of Amsterdam. The name 'crazy' Jack's tower comes from the placement of the clock. When this clock was placed, it started ringing spontaneously.
